Client was arrested and charged with murder, and facing life in prison. Given the nature of the charges, client was being held in jail on no bail. Devina was able to litigate the issue, asserting client's Due Process rights were being violated, and get the murder charge dismissed entirely before the preliminary hearing.

Client was charged with felony hit and run after a pedestrian was found dead in the roadway and a piece of the client's car was found at the scene. After working with an accident reconstructionist, Devina was able to get the charges dismissed entirely.

A client was charged with several felony firearm charges after using a gun to defend his home and family from an incredibly intoxicated person who violated the sanctity of his property. Devina was part of the defense team who litigated the case and the client was found not guilty at trial.

Two years after an auto acident, Client was charged with felony DUI causing injury, and another two years passed before the system made Client aware of the charges. Devina litigated the issue, aserting that Client's Right to a Speedy Trail was violated, and got the case dismissed.

Client was arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) significantly over the legal limit, and facing jail time, fines of approximately $2,500 and three years of probation. Devina negotiated a wet and reckless plea for no jail time, less time on probation, and a fine of only $875.

An intoxicated client was arrested after walking into a stranger's house, thinking it was his friend's house, and was facing exposure for trespassing and burglary. Devina negotiated a plea to creating a public disturbance, with no jail time.

Client was convicted of a high BAC DUI. Once the client's probation term expired, Devina was able to get the clients conviction expunged, enabling the client to be able to state with all honesty on her next job application that she had never been convicted of a crime.

Client was charged with domestic violence after a heated argument with his wife which was loud enough that the neighbors called the police. Devina was able to get the charges dismissed.

Client was charged with a misdemeanor for firing a gun too close to a home while hunting. Devina litigated the issue and was successful in proving that while the hunter had fired the gun and was near the home, no crime had been committed.

Client was convicted of six felony and four misdemeanor drug charges. Devina wrote a sentencing memo that convinced the judge that the client could not be punished on all the counts, despite the separate convictions. The client received only one year in jail.

Client was charged with a second offense DUI, which can have serious immigration consequences. Devina was able to resolve the case as a Wet & Reckless, which substantially decreased the probability of immigration issues, prevented the client from having to serve jail time, and reduced the fines due.

Client was charged with threatening a police officer and being drunk in public. Devina was able to get the charges dismissed.

Client had his license suspended by the DMV after losing consciousness. Devina contested the suspension and, after demonstrating that the client posed no safety risk, was able to get the client's license reinstated.

Client was arrested for, and charged with a DUI, but Devina was able to get the case dismissed after an evaluation of the evidence demonstrated that there were problems with the reliability of the device that tested her client's breath, and the video footage of the incident failed to show any bad driving.

After a very minor fenderbender, Client was presented with an exorbitant bill for restitution, wherein the victim claimed losses related to her car being "totaled," serious personal injury, and lost work time compensation. Devina was able to petition the court to dismiss the Client's otherwise-obligatory restitution requirements after a showing the victim's claims were substantially disproportionate to the actual harm caused.

Clients were being harassed by a next for neighbor who had mental health problems. The police were hesitant to do anything. Devina was able to secure for her Clients a legally-enforceable restraining order so that the police would be obligated to take action the next time the neighbor violated the restraining order.
